Lanka Premier League 2026 Announces Match Official Panel Ahead of July Kick-Off

Colombo, June 30, 2026 — The Lanka Premier League (LPL) has officially announced its match official panel for the sixth edition of the tournament, bringing together a blend of internationally recognized officials and emerging Sri Lankan talent.

Leading the match referee panel is ICC Elite Panel Match Referee Ranjan Madugalle, while ICC Elite Panel umpire Kumar Dharmasena headlines the umpiring team. The appointments reflect the tournament’s continued commitment to maintaining high officiating standards while providing opportunities for developing match officials.

The referee panel also includes Graeme Labrooy (ICC Emerging Match Referees Group), Wendell Labrooy (ICC International Panel of Match Referees), Manoj Mendis, and Pradeep Jeyapragash, both representing Sri Lanka Cricket’s Emerging Panel of Match Referees.

The umpiring panel features a strong international presence with Wayne Knights and Asif Yaqoob from the ICC Emerging Umpires Group. They will be joined by ICC International Panel umpires Raveendra Wimalasiri, Prageeth Rambukwella, Ravindra Kottahachchi, and Chamara De Zoysa.

Sri Lanka Cricket’s Emerging Panel will also be represented by Asanka Nanayakkara, Chandrika Amarasinghe, Hemantha Boteju, Shantha Fonseka, and S.P.R.L. Dulsiri, highlighting the board’s continued focus on developing the next generation of cricket officials.

The Lanka Premier League remains Sri Lanka’s premier domestic Twenty20 competition, attracting international players, coaches, and officials each season. The inclusion of experienced ICC officials alongside emerging local talent is expected to ensure high-quality officiating throughout the tournament.

The 2026 edition of the Lanka Premier League is scheduled to take place from 17 July to 8 August 2026, with fans eagerly anticipating another exciting season of T20 cricket featuring both local and international stars.
