LPL Players Updates

Jaffna Kings have signed Khawaja Nafay as a replacement for Ibrahim Zadran. Nafay joined the squad on Saturday and will be available for the remainder of the tournament.

Kandy Royals, who are currently sitting in fourth place after playing all eight group-stage matches, are relying on the result of the final group game between Jaffna Kings and Dambulla Sixers to secure qualification for the Play-Offs. Dambulla, currently in fifth place, could dislodge Kandy from the Play-Off positions with a victory by a sufficient margin.

Kandy have confirmed that Shaheen Shah Afridi has left the squad due to personal circumstances. The Royals have also released Moeen Ali, Sediqullah Atal, and Brandon McMullen, with replacement players yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Dambulla Sixers have signed Iftikhar Ahmed as the replacement for Fazalhaq Farooqi. Iftikhar will join the squad if the Sixers qualify for the Play-Offs.

There are no changes to the squads of Colombo KAPS and Galle Gallants as both have all secured their places in the Play-Offs along side Jaffna Kings.

The league is currently in Kandy, with two remaining group-stage matches before moving to Colombo for the Play-Offs at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.
